My name is Mary C. Sacco MA., LMHC. I practice psychoanalytic psychotherapy with a background in existential and humanistic psychology.
Although I draw from these disciplines, as well as from current neuropsychological findings, I believe that healing happens simply and meaningfully in the face to face conversation.
I have worked with adults and couples for the past 9 years as a licensed mental health counselor. This work continues to inspire in me a deep commitment to the process of healing.
As a Candidate at Northwestern Psychoanalytic Society & Institute, I am beginning my analytic training this year after completing the two-year, Fundamentals of Psychoanalysis certificate program. I graduated in 2008 from Seattle University’s Existential Phenomenological Psychology program.
Working together, we will explore your hopes and challenges in an environment of openness and freedom.
We are amazingly resilient and I agree with J.H. Van den Berg that “The present is an invitation from out of the future to gain mastery over bygone times.”
To find freedom, you must seek it first.
